Description
Welcome back to the 4th What-If!
We're back with the cutest Vizard,
The SUPER HERO,
The one who control her hollow perfectly,
Why it may have happened ?
Most can agree, the Vizards really were disappointing. They were introduced with Shinigamis(Captain/Vice-Captain) WITH Hollow powers.
So, it should be logical than to begin with, they were stronger than average Shinigami. But no.
So, in my opinion, Mashiro as every Vizard should have a real fight in Bleach. Not killing one or two Menos, the very first enemy of the manga.
Then Mashiro herself is a special case. Kubo did tease us about Mashiro being able to control her Hollow to the very beginning. She didn't have to train as much as Ichigo or any other Vizard did. More than 10 hours. She is supposed to keep her mask for more than 10 hours. And yet, nothing else happened after that.
Actually, her mask did broke after ~10 minutes in Fake Karakura. Even Ichigo must last longer at some point.
Also, pretty much the same than Yoruichi, we never saw Mashiro use her Zanpakuto. She has it. She keep it closely, but she never used it. She proved to be able to destroy Fura with a single kick. Beside, her Full Hollow form had enough strength to almost knock out Rose, a Captain.
So, clearly with her Hollow power, Mashiro was powerful enough to fight against a Stern Ritter during the 2nd Invasion.
What changes would it brings ?
Actually. No much, considering the amount of enemy.
In a way, it'd have been a way to avoid the waste of some Sternritters. Most of them weren't THAT strong.
And instead of killing them with Auswahlen, Kubo could have give real fight to other characters.
It wouldn't change much the actual plot of Bleach but at the very least, fans/readers could have saw new abilities from underused characters.
Unknown abilities from "unknown" characters, we don't ask for more. Something new is more than enough!
Beside, if done properly, Kubo could have give a big importance to Vizard as THEY HAVE HOLLOW POWERS. Kubo himself said it was a poison for Quincy, come on.
When would it happen ?
As said previously, it could happen at MANY, MANY MOMENTS. There's tons of Sternritters that were wasted. More or less strong.
Shaz, Robert, Femritters, BG9 and way others. Not all of them have Captain-Level. Some are stronger, some are weaker.
But then, if I had to choose, I'd have love against Mask de Masculine.
Both Mashiro and Him had the Hero Vibe. Mashiro was inspired by Kamen Raider while MDM was inspired by most Popular Heroes (The cape etc.)
Then, instead of a Renji completly OP for no reason, an intense fight with the Vizard Girl would have been more interesting.
To begin with MDM sure is stronger. But Mashiro hits hard too. And her Hollow powers give her an advantage at some point. Advantage Kensei & Rose didn't use.
I'm pretty sure Mashiro could put on some good fight against MDM without his absurd heal.
Beside, if Nanao can save Kyoraku, isn't it possible for Mashiro to save her Captain too.
What about the Design ?
I actually always loved the design of Mashiro, so I didn't want to waste it all.
Then I came up with an idea. Of course it'd have spoil the story later, but couldn't mashiro use some Half-Hollow form too.
If Ichigo is able to do so, why Mashiro couldn't. As said previously, she's supposed to have full control of her Hollow to begin with.
As such, I give her some similar "Transformation" to Ichigo with the left side being Hollowfied (The antenna and the Hollow Eye).
Then for the rest, Mashiro being a Hand-to-Hand fighter, I sure did imagine Kisuke doing something similar to Yoruichi by giving Mashiro so personal armor.
Basically, the Torso Armor simply would work as a "shield" as she sure is fragile despite her strength (Remember against Wonderweiss).
Then the Legs-Armor was inspired by her Hollow Form. It's a simple way to have more weight and strength behind each and every kick.
Simply saying, with her Half-Hollow and the armor, her kick would be way strong, just imagine!
Please try to remember that it only is my opinion about it. I may be wrong as I may be right.
As such, I do too can make mistakes.

Yeah, the Vizard should have been carrying the war almost as much as Zaraki did, but they were wasted instead(Shinji vs Bambietta is a good example).
