Welcome back to the 2nd What-If!

This time we'll have the cutest Red-Hair of Bleach;
The greatest fan of Ichigo Kurosaki,
The one with power similar to gods,
The rival of Kuchiki Rukia as her friend.

WHAT IF: Inoue was an Arrancar!

Why it may have happened ?

Inoue was introduced as one of the "Main characters" of the second Arc (Arrancar Arc).
After being took away by Aizen, we knew that her power may have be helpful with the whole Hogyoku's Liberation.

It'd have been a good exemple of such then. With Inoue becoming an "Arrancar", Kubo would have prove to us that Inoue's power allowed to reach even higher aims.
Not only the Hollow could have become Shinigami and Shinigami could have become Hollow.
With Inoue, it'd have proved that the Hogyoku really do break the limits between any race!

Not only that, it may also bring a whole new way to continue the Arrancar-Arc. Inoue wouldn't be the same anymore and at the very least, she would finally have the Power-Up she didn't had until then.
Besides, she wouldn't simply be the Princess that Ichigo's team had to save. She would have become a real pillar in the middle of the war. Able to understand both Shinigamis & Hollows at the same time!

What changes would it brings ?

Inoue being an Arrancar actually may have changed a lot of thing in my opinion.
First of all, as said previously, she wouldn't be the Princess that one should save. Rukia already had that role in the previous Arc, so it was a shame that the same happen, once again.

I honestly don't think much about it, but Kubo could have come with an interesting plot with Inoue being one of the main "Villain" of the Arc.
Being controled by Aizen or even something else, Kubo actually had MANY ways for Inoue to be a false villain.
What was interesting about that is the whole psychologic thing. Ichigo's team being stronger or not, they would have never killed Inoue. For this only reason, Aizen could have do that. So he'd have an advantage to begin with.

Beside, Inoue then would be a Transcendant being, what Aizen seeked to be all this time.
Finally, seeing Inoue fight the way a Shinigami or an Arrancar would could be awesome!
Just think about it, Inoue's ability as a Human/Fullbringer are already quite interesting. She can fight, protect & heal.

Now just think about these but on a whole different scale. What Inoue was lacking was Reiatsu/Strength.
Her healing abilities could be almost instantaneous.
Her shield could be almost unbreakable.
Her attack could pierce even the thoughest Hierro.
Really, on a different level, Inoue would become quite the threat!

When would it happen ?

It may have happen at many moment actually. Kubo really had the choice to do so.
But I think the best moment for that to happen would have been at the beginning or the Hueco Mundo's part.

Right after Ichigo, Sado, Uryuu, Renji & Rukia arrived at Hueco Mundo, Inoue may have already be an "Arrancar".
Her first true appearence may be up to one's desire though. SHe may have appeared right after Ulquiorra killed Ichigo for exemple.
Sneaking through Las Noches with her new abilities, she may have went to the place where Ichigo was lying just to help him.

Though it may appears at many moments. After Ichigo/Grimmjow's fight, at the end of the Captains fights in Hueco Mundo ...

What about the Design ?

About the design, I really kept it simple.
I actually love the outfit Inoue had in the Hueco Mundo. However, if she had to be an Arrancar, she had to change it.
That' why first of all her Shun Shun Rikka simply disappeared to be a Hollow Mask, similar in the appearence though.
I also changed a few part of her current outfit so it was black instead of white.

Why ? The reason is quite simple. It simply is to symbolize some changings in Inoue's heart. She become darker. More Hollow.
That's also the reason of why her outfit is opened to the chest, to clearly show her Hole.
Aside of that, I wanted her to have a pink belt for a pretty simply reason. So far, not any Espada or even Arrancar had such.
The only one with colored accessories were Aizen's team. Aizen had his red belt, Gin had a light blue one while Tosen had his orange scar.

As such, Inoue, that is some transcendant being in that case, would be much that a simple Arrancar and a colored accessory symbolized that quite clearly for me.
To finish, I wanted her to have only one Hollow eyes with a black sclera. I did so "because" of Tensa Zangetsu. When he did the Fusion, only one eye was black.
To me, it allows to show that Inoue only is part Hollow but she also kept some Human part at that time.

Please try to remember that it only is my opinion about it. I may be wrong as I may be right.
As such, I do too can make mistakes.

if first she become a hallow then if we bent the rules and base on if a plus had enough spiritual pressure before becoming then if her mask is damage then she be able regain control and rip her mask off and subdue her hollow.
